TheIdeological War

Ideologicalwar is a tough war that cannot determine the winner or a loser. Thisis because it comes from personal beliefs, long lived traditionalcultures or personal values. Every individual has her own perceptionregarding the way they view the world. There have been long ranges ofissues that have and still continue to bring about friction in theday to day lives. These issues may emanate from politicalaffiliations, social and religious beliefs1.The most particular matters that have brought about differentopinions to date are mostly sexuality and moral issues. The societyis still unable to determine what is morally right and wrong in thesociety to individuals who have different personal opinions regardingthe same.

Onetrait that has continually made America distinct and stands apartfrom the rest of the world is the ability to tolerate theseideological differences. Such differences can be dated back from theperiod of the end of the Second World War. During this particularperiod America was faced with great economic depression. This periodwas characterized by different ideological differences, on how tobring about an effective and a positive economy through the existingpolitical structures and social reforms2.There were two main conflicting groups being the conservatives andthe liberals. The liberals searched relentlessly for political changeand social change. This is by adopting new political and socialreforms that would bring about equal participation by all Americancitizens.

Howeverit is important to recognize the fact that the society is having apositive trend over the years. In an effort to bring about unity andone global community, the society has continually adopted tolerance3.This is the most effective effort of bringing about a unified societythat is composed of differences in ideology. Any effort to win anideological war only result to tension and suppression of basic humanrights.
